At Washington, we take great pride in creating a caring, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Washington has a strong reputation for preparing students for success at the middle school level, and we are proud of the strong foundation our staff provides for all learners.
Our students benefit from high-quality curriculum and instruction throughout the school day. In Science and Social Studies, we utilize the Core Knowledge Curriculum to help students build strong background knowledge and vocabulary. For Reading, we use the Wit & Wisdom curriculum, which focuses on rich literature, critical thinking, and strong literacy skills. In Math, we use the Bridges curriculum, which helps students develop deep mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
We also strongly encourage families to become involved in our school community. Whether through volunteering in classrooms, helping at school events, or joining our PTA, family involvement plays a huge role in making Washington such a special place for students. We truly value the partnerships we build with families and appreciate the support our community provides.
